Zero Budget Charity Video Advertisement - Save kemp Lodge.

I was asked to create an online video advertisement to help rase awareness of the destruction of Kemp Lodge nursing home in Liverpool.
The video was to be showcased in the local cinema and used online to rally people to sign the petition to save kemp lodge. Many of the guests at kemp lodge suffer from server dementia and would not survive the move to a new home. Some of the current guests have lived there for over 10 years and couldn’t possibly cope with moving to another location.

It was my job to create a heart felt video to showcase the issues that WILL be caused if the nursing home is demolished this year.

This was a no budget project created to help the local community.

This is 89 year old Ann, my mum’s best friend at Kemp Lodge Nursing Home, where they and 27 other vulnerable residents have been told they must vacate their home in the New Year. 

Ann is worried that she won’t survive the ordeal and has pleadedto stay; “If they close our home many of us won’t be here next year."

Two of our residents have already been moved three times because of closures. Care homes across the country are closing down at an alarming rate with numbers soaring to 148 last year. Figures show that 58 councils have seen residential and nursing homes go out business within a six month period.

I started this petition to save Kemp Lodge and to ask the government to urgently address the social care crisis and increase funding for this sector.

My mum has dementia and it took a long time for her to settle into Kemp Lodge. It was extremely distressing watching her struggle to adapt but now she is happy surrounded by friends like Ann.  Maintaining a familiar environment and routine is a vital part of dementia care and even minor changes cause immense confusion and anxiety.

When relatives are told a care home is no longer financially viable it leaves them devastated and heartbroken knowing their loved ones will suffer as a result. Staff are equally distressed at being separated from those for whom they genuinely care.

We call on the charity (CIC) that run the home and the Local Authority to reverse this critical decision and find a way of keeping these vulnerable elderly people in their home.

Money 4 Your Motors Project

Yesterday Jam Shakeshaft Video teamed up with Adam Kenrick Photography to film a pilot television advertisement for Money 4 Your Motors.

We spent the day filming across 10 locations on Wirral and in Liverpool. The aim of the project was to portray how quick and easy it is to sell your car with Money 4 Your Motors.

The Adventure Dock

A short 1-minute video displaying the potential of Liverpool's Adventure Dock helping children problem-solving and team building skills. I was asked to create a 1-minute video covering the experience of a school class at Liverpool's Adventure Dock. The video was to cover everything from arriving at the park to solving problems in the water and smiling while doing so.

Wirral Well Made

Both Adam Kenrick Photography and I got the chance to collaborate and promote Wirral in a light that many others do not see. 

We were asked to create a 1-minute video displaying all that Wirral has to offer. From areas in need of investment (such as Birkenhead) to the stunning surroundings and everyday life. 

Not only should the video show off businesses that have invested and stayed on Wirral, but also the beauty and wonderful way of life we have here on the paradise peninsular.

I was asked by one of Paris Youth Foundations band members to create a Cinemagraph for social marketing for there new single. Unfortunately I was presented with just a still photo and no video to work with. So I created the photo into 3D space and added a little bokeh to bring the image to live.

Cal's Hand Carwash

After coming across Cal’s business flyer and looking a little closer to it. I noticed Cal was actually a 14 year old boy trying to set up his first business. After all the help I have had along my self-employment journey. I figured I would help Callum by creating a more eye catching flyer/poster he can use to promote his business in his local area. Last Saturday I was lucky enough to film the first ever Castle Street Independent celebrations. Liverpool Bid Company host a number of these events over the year across the city of Liverpool. I was approached by Neston pet Supplies to design a quick little logo for their online store, social media page and business cards. Below is the final logo that is now in use.
